Neuwahlen in NRW – Ist die FDP noch zu retten?

Bis vor kurzem dachte ich das Politik eine ernste Angelegenheit wäre, vielleicht sogar zu ernst um die Mehrheit der Menschen zu interessieren. Die Nachricht vom Scheitern der Minderheitsregierung in NRW und die Aussicht auf Neuwahlen im Mai haben mich eines Besseren belehrt. Politik ist Slapstick.

War – I can not imagine, I can only guess

War is terrible. It devastates towns, cities, regions and even entire continents. Civilisations disappear, societies collapse, people are displaced and killed. Nobody fails to notice this. It is physical. It can be quantified. That’s what historians did, do and will do. In the end it’s statistics.

Elections in Russia and the media

Vladimir Putin secured a third term as President of Russia during last weeks presidential elections. The official count put him at 63.64% (results). This didn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

I have treated this blog with some disregard in the past. In the future I will post more stuff here to make it more relevant. The content will then be published automatically through Facebook and Twitter. So subscribers to these services won’t miss a thing.
